Building owners, facilities managers, or individuals with significant control of air conditioning systems within a building have a statutory obligation and duty of care in the operation and maintenance of air conditioning systems, and are responsible for commissioning this report.
If your air conditioning units have a combined rated output of 12kW or more and are not inspected by an accredited assessor every 5 years, you could face a daily fine of £300 per building. Furthermore, if you are summoned to present a TM44 certificate(s) for your building(s), and you do not provide this within 7 days, a fixed fine of £200 per building can be issued.
